Aliyah, Postpartum Doula

Aliyah, Postpartum Doula

Hi! I’m a full-time postpartum doula with a passion for supporting mothers and babies. I began my caregiving career six years ago, working with geriatric patients in a Catholic nursing home, and later transitioned into home care. Working in geriatrics, I learned invaluable skills in teamwork, compassion, and patience. My desire to provide bedside care for mothers and babies led me to the world of doula and birth work.

I immersed myself in research and got certified, not thinking about the fact that I had no hands on experience. So, in the meantime, I worked as a patient care technician at a hospital for NICU graduates and babies in rehabilitation. And I’m extremely glad and so grateful that I did!

While working under the amazing nurses there, I performed skilled tasks such as caring for babies on feeding tubes, providing education to parents, and learning the basic newborn care aspects while also learning to be oh so gentle. I asked a thousand questions and have watched many procedures being done. I feel a profound responsibility and passion for serving families.

I think it’s my purpose to nurture and teach others, particularly mothers, families, and their precious babies. I do this solely out of love, compassion, and empathy. My motto is to go above and beyond, professionally and personally. These qualities are instilled in me by my Creator. I have served many, many families and I am hoping to continue doing God’s work.
