Feyi DC Postpartum Doula with Metropolitan Doulas

Feyi, Postpartum Doula

I am Feyi, a postpartum doula. I have 6 years of experience within doula work, starting out as a birth doula. Recently my focus has shifted to lactation and postpartum doula support. With strengths in analysis, evidence-based research, organization, empathy and access, I pride myself on providing all families with unique support accounting for specific circumstances, access, and social and structural factors.

I hold a B.S. in Psychology and an M.S. in Health Science with a Community Health concentration. My background and education gives me an informed perspective on the experiences of women of color and wanting to provide an empowered, safe and autonomous experience. My focus on being evidence-based allows me to provide families with an abundance of resources that can lead to informed decision making.

I am proud and committed to ensuring I am a part of making the lives of the birthing persons I serve easier and more accessible. As my training will also show, I have a deep desire to understand maternal and child health through all the various phases and areas. I currently live in the Alexandria area.
