Zed, Certified Postpartum Doula
I came into postpartum and newborn care through years of hands-on experience caring for babies and supporting families during one of the most important seasons of their lives. For more than 25 years, I’ve worked closely with newborns, infants, and toddlers, helping parents feel supported, rested, and confident as they adjust to life with a new baby. Over time, this work became more than just a job for me — it became something I truly love and feel called to do. Becoming a
certified postpartum doula allowed me to continue doing what I do best: creating a calm, caring, and safe environment for both babies and parents.
My approach is gentle, dependable, and family-centered. I believe every family deserves support without judgment, and I always try to meet parents where they are while helping them feel comfortable and reassured. I especially enjoy caring for newborns overnight, helping families establish healthy sleep routines, and offering guidance based on both experience and patience. Families often describe me as calm, loving, trustworthy, and someone who brings peace into the
home during stressful or exhausting moments.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with many families throughout the Washington D.C. area, often building relationships that last well beyond the newborn stage. I take pride in being reliable, attentive, and deeply committed to the well-being of the children and families I care for.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two grandchildren, who are 5 and 4 years old, and continuing to learn and grow in postpartum and newborn care. I feel grateful every time a family trusts me to be part of their journey.
