Don’t let the picture fool you, Margie is a very active and competent doula who has been in the field since 2005, following a long career as a therapist and tutor/teacher. She enjoys working with diverse families; first-time parents, single, gay, adoptive, inter-racial, with twins, with older siblings. She enjoys the variety and learns something from each client. Her commitment is that she should complement the current family setting, never compete with it or try to displace a family member. She views her job as supporting the new parent, baby, and anyone else in the household as decided by each client.

She is a mother of an adult daughter with whom she shares a sweet old dog. She participates in ongoing online classes, Qi Gong, yoga, and volunteer work as well as enjoying the cultural smorgasbord of the Washington area.

She is fully vaccinated and currently always wears a mask when working with families.
